Kavitha Boobathy — the business coach women call when they’re expert at their craft but stuck on clients
Known online as Kavitha The Coach. I help women who sell what they know — coaches, consultants, course creators, and health and nutrition coaches — turn deep expertise into a business with consistent clients.
The question every credentialled woman dreads
You know your craft. You have the certifications, the training, the results with the clients you’ve had. And still, when a cousin at a family function asks “so what do you actually do?” — the answer doesn’t come out clean.
Not because you don't know it. Because the business behind it dossn't feel solid yet. The clients come from referrals, in ones and twos, with no pattern you can rely on.
You're learning constantly, but the earning hasn't caught up to the learning. That gap - expert at the work, unsure of the business - is the exact gap I built my practice to close.
How I Got Here
- I started working at seventeen. A govemment job, then banking - fourteen years of it, at the largest bank in the country.
- I built my qualifications while I worked: a B.Com, then an MBA, earned in the margins of full-time jobs and a full-time family.
- For years I coached on the side. It started as freelance work in 2015, became coaching in 2016, and quietty turned into the work I actually cared about.
- In 2022, at 39, I took VRS and went all in - I founded Kavitha The Coach and, that same year, was incubated at the Harvard Innovation Labs, where I spent a year auditing courses at Harvard Business School and the Harvard Kennedy School.
- I mention the MBA and the Harvard year not because letters make a coach - they don't - but because I know what it is to bulld credibility from scratch, while the people around you quietly wonder when the "real job" is coming back.
Why I do this work
Even in those side-hustle years, I was working with coaches and women entrepreneurs across the world — eventually 500+ women across five continents.
What struck me was how identical the struggle was, wherever they lived. India, the US, the UK, Nigeria, Australia — the questions were the same. How do I build this around my life, not against it? Most of these women didn’t want fame or a huge name. They wanted to monetise their expertise, earn enough for the things they wanted to give their family, earn respect for the work they do, and add meaning to their life by making other lives better.
And I kept seeing the same painful mismatch. Women who were genuine experts — and couldn’t find clients consistently. And on the other side, talented people stuck on problems a good coach could help them solve in half the time they were spending to figure it out alone.
So I decided to bridge it. To help talented coaches who lack consistent clients — and the people who need them — find each other. Through positioning, pricing, and a client system that works beyond referrals, not instead of them.
